YogiRamsuratkumar,the Greatest saints of this era was born in a village near Kasi on the first day of December,1918.In his childhood,he loved very much to meet the yogis and monks.He was befriended by a number of holy men who build their huts on the Ganges shore or simply wander nearby.

In search of His spiritual father,His spiritual mission started in the year 1947,when he decided to visit the renowned sage and patriot of India,Sri Aurobindo Ghose.He expressed his desire to the old monk.Aurobindo then asked yogiram to meet another holy man the sage of Arunachala,Sri Ramana Maharishi.

He later moved to Kerala at the ashram of Swami Ramdas.Sri Aurobindo gave him Jnana, Sri Maharshi blessed him with tapas and Swami Ramadas gave him the nectar of Bhakti. Swami Ramadas initiated him into the holy mantra : " Om Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram ", by pronouncing it thrice in his ears.

After a Prolonged spiritual voyage,Yogiji finally reached Thiruvannamalai in the Southern India.He was seen near the Temple chariot,at the corners of the Road,under the trees of the Temple.Swamiji then began living in a small house in Sannadhi Street beneath the Temple.He continued to bless the devotees who thronged at thousands to His house at the Sannadhi Street.The Devotees wished Him to have an Ashram which He gently accepted.The YogiRamsuratkumar Ashram is constructed at Agrahara collai with a total area of 3.5 Acres.

"VISIRI SAMIYAR" as affectionately called by devotees attained Siddhi on 20.2.2001 at Tiruvannamalai in the Ashram premises.

Those who chant 'Aum Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram' will not be affected by any disease, whether it comes from America or Europe. These are my Father's words.

We work from one spot, taking into consideration the entire cosmic movement. All are moving together towards one single point, always progressing. When this beggar gives word, it will take place, if it fits in with the harmony of the entire cosmos for its good. Mostly it happens and what we utter becomes true. But a rare few times, it may fail also, due to some sudden disharmony somewhere in the cosmos. And the failure is then for its greater good only. Though the failure is only apparent, but if the individual has got unshakable faith that works. Whatever happens, the faith should be unshakable. Faith must be total.

I do not seek for happiness. I only want to do my father’s work. If even one being has benefited from my life, that is enough. It has been worthwhile. And if this body dies, the soul that may remain, may it be born again to do my Father’s work.

To tell you the truth, the whole humanity exists only because of the Vedas, the Veda Mantras and the Great Masters.

The most essential and important thing in our life is that we should have faith in God, absolute faith in God.If we do not have Guru Bhakthi and faith in God, whatever we may possess is of no use. If we have Guru Bhakti and the Blessings of the Guru, then it is more than sufficient and it is more than what we can possess materially in this world.

Like Ramnam, Shivanam is very elevating. Recite Shivnam constantly, like pouring of oil from one pot to another, without break. Namajapa should be sustained, just as pouring of oil, is not broken.

Do all the work, in the world, but keep your mind always on the Almighty, the creator of all things and you can never go wrong.

Ashram

Bhagwan Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar Ashram is at Agraharakollai in Chengam Road, Thiruvannamalai. It has a very spacious hall and can accommodate 4000 people at one time. It has a meditation hall open to public. A Darshan Mandir, a dining hall and Vedapadasala are housed in the Ashram. Bhagwan’s Mahasamadhi is inside the hall and a temple has been constructed to house bhagwan in the form of the Siva Lingam. Annadhanam and Bhojan for Sadus are provided everyday. Poojas and Abishekam for the Sivalingam is performed daily.

Bhajan Hall

A very spacious hall that can accommodate 4000 people at one time attracts devotees. The bronze statue of Bhagwan is located centrally. The Mahasamadhi is at one end of the hall where a temple has been constructed. Daily Bajans are conducted in this hall between 10A.M to 12 Noon and 4P.M. to 6P.M., besides daily Pooja and Abishekam for the Sivalingam is performed both morning and evening. The Temple is open for public from 5A.M. to 12 Noon in the morning and 4P.M. to 8P.M. in the evening everyday..Special Poojas are performed on Thursdays and festival days. Besides devotees can request for poojas to be performed on their important dates. Prasadams will be sent to them by mail. Devotees can participate in the poojas and get the prasadam in person. Vedapatasala

Swamiji used to say that the Vedapatasala is the heart of the Ashram. There are proposals to induct Veda research scholars in this patasala.

At present a White marble statue is placed in the vedapatasala. The statue was made in Italy by an Italian sculptor who has not seen Swamiji at all. He had carved the statue after seeing a photograph of Bhagwan. Devotees can see the statue between 9A.M to 10A.M in the morning and 6P.M to 7P.M. in the evening. This will have a library too with lot of books on veda for the benefit of the research scholars.

Meditation Hall

The meditation hall is open to public during day time. Devotees can sit and meditate comfortably.

In the Mahasamadhi area, a Sivalinga is installed now. Apart from a Saligrama, for which daily Abisheka and Pooja, with chanting of Upanishad, Rudra, Chamaka and Purushasuktha, are performed. The Mahakumbhabhishekam of the newly consecrated Adhishtanam of Bhagwan Yogi Ramsuratkumar was celebrated on 27th June 2004

Bhagwan’s physical appearance, in the sanctified Sivalinga here, has charmed a few and made them spell bound.
